At ALPIN LOACKER, we are not only passionate outdoor enthusiasts, but also proud supporters of inspiring projects. Today we would like to tell you about our exciting partnership with Golden Goal Biking.
These two brave boys, Felix Michalski from Mannheim and Fabian Dudas from Stuttgart, have set themselves an impressive goal: To travel through 25 countries by bike in one year to build a school in Nepal with the help of the organization 264.education to build a school in Nepal.
The adventure is scheduled to run from August 2023 to July 2024.
The Golden Goal: Education for a better future
Felix and Fabian from Golden Goal Biking have an ambitious goal in mind: the expansion of the New Marigold Secondary Boarding School in Nepal.
This school currently has classrooms for grades 1-8, but the two adventurers want to enable additional classrooms for grades 9-10.
Education is the key to a better future and they want to ensure that all children have the same opportunities.
The story of Felix and Fabian:
Felix Michalski and Fabian Dudas met during their studies and share many common interests, including
- Sports (including soccer),
- Photography and videography
- and traveling.
The name "Golden Goal" comes from soccer and symbolizes the decisive goal.
For Felix and Fabian, however, Golden Goal means helping in a decisive way and making a contribution to a better future.
The journey by bike is not only an incredible experience for her, but also a way to combine her passion for sport and adventure with her goal of building a school in Nepal.
Why are Felix and Fabian doing this?
Felix and Fabian's motivation is deeply rooted in the conviction that education forms the basis for sustainable development and social justice.
Around 264 million childrenworldwide have no access to education. Golden Goal Biking wants to help reduce this number and offer disadvantaged children and children in rural areas better educational opportunities.
Through their trip and fundraising, they not only want to support the New Marigold School, but also raise awareness of the importance of education.
Nepal: A country with challenges in the education system
Nepal is a beautiful country, but also one of the poorest countries in the world. Around a quarter of the Nepalese population lives below the national poverty line, which leads to inadequate access to education.
Many children have limited future prospects due to poverty and social challenges. Rural areas in particular lack adequate infrastructure and economic opportunities.
The role of 264.education: Working together for a better future
264.education is a dedicated team of
- entrepreneurs,
- management consultants,
- Growth strategists
- and students,
who dedicate their free time to building schools in developing countries. They are Golden Goal Biking's partner in the construction of the New Marigold School.
Together, they are committed to ensuring that children in Nepal receive a high-quality education without having to struggle with the challenges that still exist in many other schools in the country.
