What is included in the basic gear for a multi-day hike?
Backpack (35–50 L), tent or bivy sack, sleeping bag (season-appropriate), sleeping pad, hiking poles, Merino clothing in layering system, waterproof jacket, first aid kit, and navigation (map + GPS).
What does ultralight mean in camping?
Ultralight (UL) means a base weight under 4.5 kg – that is, backpack, tent, sleeping bag, and pad combined. This increases range, protects joints, and makes multi-day tours more comfortable. Alpin Loacker products are selected with this goal in mind.
