We are pleased to announce that ALPIN LOACKER GmbH has joined the Greenspark organization to ensure that we have a positive impact on our planet and its people. Your orders will not only offset CO2 emissions, but will also directly support positive projects that are audited and verified to ensure the greatest possible social and environmental impact. So far, the start-up company has created 6,871 tons of CO2 offsets, planted 832,378 trees and cleaned or recycled 1.3 million plastic bottles from our waters through various organizations. Transparency is important to us and Greenspark, which is why all projects, including invoices and data, as well as certificates from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, are visible to companies and consumers.

Which projects do I support with my order from Alpin Loacker?

The financing of reforestation by Greenspark will one day provide 2.5 million people with oxygen as soon as they have grown. The Eden Reforestation Project, for example, is also supported. Eden's reforestation projects combat deforestation and alleviate poverty by engaging local communities in restoring their natural ecosystems. Eden plants only native tree species to preserve natural biodiversity and has planted more than 500 million trees around the world. The Reforestation employs thousands of people and creates nearly 6 million working days through its projects in Madagascar, Haiti, Nepal, Indonesia, Mozambique, Kenya, Nicaragua and Honduras.

Together against harmful plastic in our waters

Plastic pollution is also one of the biggest threats to our oceans and marine life. The United Nations estimates that 8 million tons of plastic waste end up in our waters every year. If we continue to consume and throw away single-use plastic at this rate, there could be more plastic in our oceans than fish by 2050. Another organization supported by Green Park is Plastic Bank® . This builds ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities while creating positive economic opportunities for those who help collect the material. Since 2013, Plastic Bank® has recycled over 10,000,000 kg of ocean plastic.
