The right sleeping pad makes all the difference for a restful night outdoors – whether on the high alpine trail, at base camp, or during a bivouac. At Alpin Loacker, you'll find ultralight sleeping pads for every type of adventure.
Which sleeping pad is the right one?
We differentiate between self-inflating sleeping pads (a combination of foam and air, durable and comfortable) and inflatable sleeping pads (lighter, more compact, perfect for ultralight tours).
R-value: The most important criterion
- R-value 1–2: Summer, warm nights, mountain huts
- R-value 3–4: Spring/Fall, cooler temperatures
- R-value 5+: Year-round, high mountains, winter bivouac
Our sleeping pad highlights
- Weight: from 350g – ideal for trekking & ultralight tours
- Self-inflating: open the valve, the pad inflates by itself

Sleeping pad for camping vs. trekking
For camping and base camps, we recommend self-inflating sleeping pads with a higher R-value and more comfort. For trekking and multi-day tours, ultralight inflatable sleeping pads with the packed size of a water bottle are ideal.
