- Telescopic trekking poles made of carbon have a decisive advantage: they are ultra-light and weigh just 260 grams per pole.
- At 292 grams per pole, the aluminum models are somewhat heavier, but also more robust.
Aluminum offers better durability, especially for long-term use in difficult terrain.
For use on soft ground and light hikes, however, the properties of carbon are comparable to those of aluminum. Our ultra-light carbon telescopic poles are slightly more expensive than the aluminum hiking poles. This is because the processing of carbon fiber is much more complex.
