At Alpin Loacker, we stand for high-quality outdoor equipment, but also for genuine passion, adventure and social commitment. That's exactly why we're delighted to present an extraordinary project with this contribution under the motto "We are a sponsor of Golden Goal Biking | Alpin Loacker": Two young adventurers from Germany will cycle through 25 countries within one year to enable the construction of a school in Nepal. A journey that combines sport, education and helpfulness in a unique way – and one we support wholeheartedly as an outdoor brand.

Golden Goal Biking: A cycling adventure with a mission

Felix Michalski from Mannheim and Fabian Dudas from Stuttgart have set themselves an impressive goal: From August 2023 to July 2024, they want to cycle through 25 countries to work together with the organization 264.education to expand a school in Nepal. Specifically, it's about the New Marigold Secondary Boarding School, which currently provides classrooms for grades 1–8. With their tour, Felix and Fabian want to make additional rooms available for grades 9 and 10 – an important step to ensure children in Nepal have access to further education.

The name "Golden Goal" comes from football and stands for the decisive goal. For the two adventurers, it means: making a decisive difference and contributing meaningfully to a better future. This philosophy fits perfectly with our values – outdoor sport with purpose and responsibility.

The story behind Felix and Fabian

Felix and Fabian met during their studies. They quickly discovered their shared passion for sport, travel and photography and videography. From this friendship came the idea for a project that is more than just a world tour: a mission with measurable impact.

On their tour, they face extreme conditions – from icy mountain passes to hot lowlands to long stages through remote regions. Anyone undertaking such a project knows how important reliable equipment is. That's where our support comes in: with functional clothing and well-designed equipment, we want to help ensure the two are well-prepared for any weather. Products made from merino wool with its unique properties have proven particularly effective, as they regulate temperature, are odor-neutral and ideal for long stages.

We are a sponsor of Golden Goal Biking | Alpin Loacker – why this project fits us

As an outdoor brand from Austria, we know what it means to be out and about – whether in the Alps, on long trekking tours or on cycling trips around the globe. Our products are designed to accompany adventurers. That's why it was immediately clear to us: We are a sponsor of Golden Goal Biking, because this project combines two things close to our hearts: an active outdoor lifestyle and social commitment.

Felix and Fabian depend on equipment that works day after day on their journey. This includes not just the bicycle, but also functional base layers and sleeping gear. Anyone planning to be on the road for several months benefits from, for example, merino underwear that stays warm, dry and odor-free, and from merino socks that reliably protect your feet on long stages. When it comes to sleeping, every gram counts – which is why many cycle tourists opt for an ultralight sleeping pad with a good mix of insulation and comfort.

Nepal and the importance of education

Nepal is a fascinating country with impressive nature – but it is one of the poorest countries in the world. About a quarter of the population lives below the national poverty line, and particularly in rural areas there is a lack of infrastructure and educational opportunities. Globally, approximately 264 million children have no access to education – a figure that not only forms the basis of the name "264.education" but also illustrates how enormous the task is.

Education is considered one of the most important levers for sustainable development. It enables children in Nepal to later pursue training, support their families and in the long term improve the economic situation of entire regions. By building additional classrooms at the New Marigold Secondary Boarding School, Felix, Fabian and 264.education make a concrete and visible contribution.

The partner organization 264.education

Behind 264.education is a dedicated team of entrepreneurs, business consultants, growth strategists and students who volunteer to build schools in developing countries. The organization works transparently, in partnership and with local structures on the ground. This ensures that help really reaches where it is needed – and has long-term impact.

Together with Golden Goal Biking, a project is created that goes far beyond a sporting achievement. It is a symbol of what can happen when people pool their strengths – whether as athletes, supporters or sponsors.
